ACFHP Welcomes Restore America’s Estuaries as New Member to the Partnership

July 28, 2021

The Atlantic Coastal Fish Habitat Partnership (ACFHP or Partnership) is excited to welcome Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE) to the Partnership, and to become an Affiliate Member of RAE.

RAE is dedicated to the protection and restoration of bays and estuaries as essential resources for our nation. RAE was founded in 1995 and is a national alliance of 10 coastal conservation groups dedicated to restoring and preserving America’s estuaries and coasts. The organization is a powerful voice for coastal habitat restoration in the nation’s capital.

“RAE is proud to join ACFHP as a member group,” said Daniel Hayden, President and CEO of RAE. “Coastal fish habitat restoration is a cornerstone objective of our organization and provides a myriad of benefits not just to fish, but our coastal communities and other wildlife.”

Much of ACFHP’s focus is on estuarine fish habitats, and this new partnership will provide great opportunities to leverage resources, in turn having an even greater impact on the coastal environments ACFHP is working to conserve.

“ACFHP is excited to partner with RAE on our shared mission to conserve fish habitat along the Atlantic coast. The confluence of ACFHP’s and RAE’s work rests in both the application and collaboration that define both organizations. We look forward to bringing our joint resources to bear on coastal fish habitat conservation efforts from Maine to Florida with our new RAE partner.” – Kent Smith, ACFHP Chair

RAE will be represented on ACFHP’s Outreach and Communications subcommittee by Rob Shane, Communications Manager.
